Job Description

We're on the hunt for a dedicated Back End Software Developer to champion our creation of tech solutions for sustainability. As a vital member of the team, you'll be pivotal in evolving our software products, crafting significant amounts of high-quality code, steering projects from conception to completion, refining our processes, and guiding the next wave of talent. This role will be hybrid based out of our Boston office and you will report to the Tech Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Write code:  Design, implement, and deploy reliable and efficient production software in React and Python.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate and collaborate with US counterparts.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.

• 5 years of professional software development experience at companies with 10 or more developers.

• Experience in creating robust, performant backend services and APIs, with a strong understanding of server-side languages and frameworks (competence in Python, Django, and Postgres is a plus).

• Understanding of cloud hosting offerings and experience deploying and managing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure components (knowledge of Azure, Docker, and Terraform is a plus).

• Proficiency using IDEs (PyCharm or Visual Studio), support tools (code analysis AI, log analyzers), and colleagues (us!) to debug quickly and deploy rapidly.

• Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.

• Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.

• Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.

• Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
